CITADEL100 donate used IT equipment to Camera Education for recycling and reuse in disadvantaged schools

CITADEL100 have recently donated used IT equipment to Camera Education for recycling and reuse. We are delighted to have chosen Camara to manage our IT disposal needs.

Camara provide an ethical and environmentally friendly reuse solution for IT disposal. All equipment is erased or physically destroyed in compliance with the US DoD (Department of Defense) standard 5220.22M, preventing the possibility of data theft from a third party.

Each computer reused by Camara (Reg Charity CHY 16922) will be put into a low income school in Ireland, Africa or the Caribbean and will allow 21 children to develop digital literacy skills. Any IT equipment that cannot be reused will be recycled at an authorised Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) facility. Computers reused are also recycled at an authorised facility at the end of their lives.

SECURUS FUND ACQUIRES STAKE IN CITADEL100, IRELAND.

CITADEL100 is a joint venture partnership between Keppel Data Centres (subsidiary of the Singapore based Keppel Group) who hold 50% of the shares and several individual investors who hold the remaining 50% including our C.E.O Noel Meaney. These individuals (including Noel Meaney) have entered into a transaction to sell their 50% stake to Securus Data Property Fund (“Securus Fund”) – a Keppel-sponsored investment fund based out of Singapore ().

Securus Fund is a dedicated data centre fund solely focused on the long-term ownership and management of data centre assets across its target markets of Europe and Asia Pacific. Keppel T&T is the major sponsor of the Fund and will be its single largest shareholder.

Today, Keppel Data Centres and Securus Fund together own a portfolio of 7 high quality data centre facilities across Europe and Asia Pacific – in Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, London and Ireland and are actively looking to expand the footprint. This combined platform of data centre facilities, coupled with the operating expertise of C100 and Keppel Data Centres, enable us to support customers in their future expansions in Europe and Asia Pacific regions.

DUBLIN/IRELAND, OCTOBER 20TH 2010 – CITADEL100, a member of the Keppel Group, and one of Europe’s leading and most innovative Datacenter owner and operators, specialising in designing, developing and operating 100% availability Next Generation Datacenters, are pleased to announce that this week we launched a new collaboration with the Performance Engineering Laboratory at Dublin City University (DCU) to research and develop a Pro Active Cooling Technology – “PACT100″. This technology is designed to predict heat buildup within our Colo rooms and allocate cooling by utilising innovative algorithms for high accuracy and focuses on “Energy-Aware Networking” to increase our Power Usage Efficiency (PUE).

This research is been conducted with Dublin City University with the support of the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET) Postgraduate Enterprise Partnership Scheme.We view this research as a vital tool in addressing the needs of our client’s requirements for high power density and efficient use of cooling equipment through Continual Monitoring and Predictive Cooling.In partnering with Dublin City University we are delighted to have access to some of the best Scientific Minds that this State is developing.We believe that this collaboration will be the first of many more with Dublin City University and hope that this will help increase awareness of the Irish Data Center Industry as a World Leader.”

CITADEL100 ATTEND THE FRIENDS OF THE IRFU CHARITABLE TRUST DINNER 2009

CITADEL100, a member of the Keppel Group, and one of Europe’s leading and most innovative Datacenter owner and operators, specialising in designing, developing and operating 100% availability Next Generation Datacenters, attended the Friends of the IRFU Charitable Trust Dinner 2009, (the Annual Blacktie Event in order to raise funds for injured rugby players) on Saturday 14th at The Ballsbridge Court Hotel in Dublin. The main speakers at the dinner were rugby legend Jack Kyle and Ireland’s greatest kicker Ollie Campbell.
