Volta announces C4L PoP in London

Volta, developer and operator of central London’s newest purpose-designed, carrier-neutral datacentre, has announced that C4L, a datacentre colocation and connectivity solutions provider, established a Point of Presence at Volta’s Great Sutton Street facility, bringing their own fibre into the facility to expand their private fibre-optic coreTX network in central London.

C4L’s coreTX  network provides access to 100 data centres in the UK and more than 300 globally, offering considerable choice to customers requiring colocation or connectivity services. coreTX is a high performance, high capacity MPLS network, delivering bandwidth of 1-100Gb between key C4L PoPs, now including a PoP at Volta GSS. A truly any-to-any network, coreTX interconnects partner Internet Exchanges, multiple Tier 1 ISPs, cloud platforms, telecoms operators and other service providers across all of the coreTX PoP locations, including Volta’s central London data centre.

Matt Hawkins, Founder and Chairman at C4L, said: “Volta’s connectivity and unrivalled 33KV power supply were key factors in our decision to expand the coreTX network with a PoP at the Great Sutton Street facility. This means that customers located in Volta will have additional direct access to Internet Exchanges such as LINX and LONAP, as well as multiple Tier 1 Internet providers including NTT and GTT. Furthermore, the central London location will enable locally based businesses in the financial services sector, SME’s and technology entrepreneurs around Tech City to take advantage of our high capacity coreTX network.”
