CITADEL is a leading LIEN member of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.

While 100% availability is our priority, CITADEL100 is committed to operating the most efficient datacenters. All design and build incorporates the most efficient methods of power support and cooling.

As energy consumption in datacentres is predicted to more than double within the next 5 years, resulting in increasing carbon emissions and associated costs, CITADEL100 is continually pursuing and developing energy saving solutions. Through innovative design and a philosophy of Continual Improvement we continue to optimise power utilisation efficiencies (PUE), resulting in lower operating costs for our clients, whilst at the same time aiming to reduce our carbon emissions.

CITADEL100 will work with prospective customers to optimise their efficiency while maintaining 100% uptime.

SUSTAINABILITY COMMITMENTS

Power efficiency in Products and Services:

CITADEL100 adopts the energy efficient standards, processes, measurements and technologies required to implement power efficiency in products and services within the datacenter.

Streamlined transportation and packaging:

CITADEL100 specifically design and operate its datacenters with a goal of enhancing recyclability, eliminating any hazardous substances, slashing energy consumption, streamlining packaging and eliminating any unnecessary shipping materials.

Green Ratings:

Citadel100 is an active member of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and a Large Industry Energy Network (LIEN) member.
LIEN is a voluntary grouping, facilitated by the Sustainable Energy Authority (SEAI), of companies that work together to develop and maintain robust energy management within their organisations to reduce their carbon footprints. For further information please see here: http://www.seai.ie/

Citadel100 is currently undergoing an audit by our Energy provision partners who will on conclusion provide a GAP analysis on potential energy saving solutions that can be implemented on site.

From a customer side regarding energy efficiency, clients have the option of implementing rack orientation within the their Colo to facilitate Cold Isle Containment.
This would optimise cooling efficiencies within the colo and have a significant impact on their energy usage and carbon footprint. We are happy to  discuss with clients how to optimise their efficiency while maintaining 100% uptime.

Citadel100 are pursuing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification which is scheduled to be in place in late 2015.
