Safety management and its importance starts at the top of Citadel100 and is passed down, reinforced through senior management, down to the project teams and then to the workforce. Safety management is the responsibility of everyone and it is incumbent upon us all to ensure that our target of IIF (Incident and injury free) is achieved.
Citadel100 actively ensure that all of our employees, sub-contractors and others are well informed, well trained, engaged and committed to our EHS improvement process. We recognise that safe operations depend not only on technically sound plant and equipment, but also on competent people and an active EHS culture. No activity is so important that it cannot be carried out safely. Citadel100 managers, supported by our safety team are accountable for putting in place appropriate documented systems and processes for each task, thus ensuring continual progress towards our goal and targets and for ensuring that these processes are effective and in-line with our safety management procedures.
Citadel100 are very proud of our record in Health and Safety, of no reportable incidents to date since we began operation in 2001. This is achieved in no small part by our commitment to Zero – Incident & Injury Free. All personnel onsite must complete our online site safety induction and pass a qualifying test upon completion. This is also required of all Citadel100 and client contractors. All Citadel100 planned work activities are governed by:
– RAMS – Risk Assessment Method Statement processes to maximise our efforts to maintain our Zero Incident & Injury Free commitment.
– CERM – Critical Engineering Risk Management processes to maximise our efforts to insure we have Zero impact on our client business activities.
We carry out continuous H&S processes in terms of daily inspections of all escape routes, weekly testing of safety systems, staff training and tool box talks, etc.
In addition we employ an H&S consultant qualified to Chartered Membership of IOSH to carry out independent audits of the building, systems and processes.
There is a formal Health and Safety council based on site with representatives from all clients, Citadel100 and major contractors.
The Citadel100 Dublin data centre complies with the following acts:
